The South Vietnam 500 Dong banknote was introduced by the National Bank of Vietnam in 1970. The banknote has orange and green color combinations and features the National Bank of Vietnam headquarters building on its obverse. The reverse of the note depicts guilloches. The banknote is 152 x 76 mm in size and carries a watermark that reflects Tran Hung Dao. Printed by De La Rue, the paper bill bears a solid security thread.
It also has the signatures of Nguyen Van Dong and Nguyen Huu Hanh. This particular South Vietnam 500 Dong banknote is in uncirculated condition.
