Rare South Vietnam Fighter Pilot Painted Helmet Flying Tigers A1 Skyraiders

  

Here is a Fighter helmet brought back by a USAF vet from Vietnam. It is original period custom paint.

I did not find any USAF unit's using the Tiger. But there was a South Vietnamese Squadron that did. They flew VNAF A-1 Skyraiders loaded with huge payloads of bombs and missles.

I found a photo of their aircraft with a similiar Tiger painted on the fuselage. I believe this helmet is from that Unit Guaranteed original, see my Feedback.

This is a P-4 helmet (introduced in mid 1950s) which was pretty obsolete by the Vietnam War, but makes sense for VNAF who I've seen photos using this model.
